This is what the participants had to say:

YM Deosthalee, Chairman & Managing Director, L&T Finance Holdings:
Genesis Foundation is doing an awesome job. I have performed for the 3rd time for GF and feel fully energized.  In fact, I am already looking forward to the next event with tremendous enthusiasm.   It's an excellent concept - the event is full of fun, all of us who are not professional singers are re-discovering our talent. Probably making a 2nd beginning in our lives and performing after many decades.

Mehmood Curmally, MD, Rhythm House:

It is such a magical evening.  Absolutely awesome.  Friends and family are having an absolute blast.  Genesis Foundation’s purpose makes it even better!  There is no better way to exhibit your love for anyone but through music. I've been with GF doing this since 4 years. The energy is fantastic. I hope that GF prospers and becomes bigger and better in what they do.

Pankajj Chaturvedi, Executive Director & CEO, Rich Graviss:

It is an honor to be able to do my bit for the society and Genesis Foundation’s event has been an amazing medium for me to do so. The kind of work GF has done for the children is commendable and exemplary. It is an ecstatic feeling to be a part of the event that helps GF to improve the lives of critically ill children and make a positive difference in their lives.

Hitesh Gajaria, Partner, KPMG:
It's a personal highpoint to be here with Genesis Foundation and sing. It's a privilege that I've been called upon for this performance.

The proceeds from the fundraiser events organised by Genesis Foundation go into supporting the treatment of critically ill under privileged children. Recently, 2-year-old Manoj Behere underwent surgery for an intra-cardiac problem that he was born with. A farmer in Odisha, his father Pitamber and his family barely survive on a meagre Rs 5000 a month. Treatment costs for Manoj were prohibitive. With support from Genesis Foundation and the good care he received at Mumbai’s Sion Hospital, Manoj’s surgery was a success. GF’s mission is to ensure that children like Manoj receive appropriate medical attention.

About Genesis Foundation:

Genesis Foundation (GF) provides financial support for life-saving and life-changing medical intervention for critically ill under-privileged children in areas of cancer, cardiac disorder, post organ transplant medication, thalassemia and extreme deformities. Support from GF in the said five critical illnesses, varies from specific medical intervention, recovery and recuperation, to extended treatments like chemotherapy and follow-up medicines post surgeries. We Give Life a Chance.

So far, medical treatment of nearly 650 critically ill children has been supported by Genesis Foundation. The children supported by the Foundation belong to families with an income of less than Rs.10,000 per month and the parents are unable to afford treatment of these children suffering from serious life threatening ailments.

100% of funds raised are dedicated towards treatment of critically ill children as all overhead costs are borne by the trustees.  GF is registered under section 80-G of the Income Tax Act of 1961, which entitles 50% tax exemption.
