Harshala (Harshala Pawar)
10 years from Mumbai, suffered from narrowing of the pulmonary valve that allows the blood to leave the heart via the arteries. She underwent a corrective procedure to open the valve via ballooning at Jupiter Hospital, Mumbai. Her father was a brick kiln and had a monthly income of Rs.2,500. We at Genesis Foundation were glad that Harshala had recovered from the surgery.
Prit Vikram (Prit Vikram Grahat)
8 years from Maharashtra, was diagnosed with a complete heart block since childhood. His father earned Rs.4, 000 monthly working as a farmer and could definitely not support his son’s prescribed treatment. But with financial support received by the father, Vikrant had undergone permanent pacemaker implantation at Jupiter Hospitals, Mumbai. He had now been discharged and we at Genesis Foundation wish him a long and healthy life.
Sameer (Sameer Fariyad)
3 years, suffered from prolonged spells of pneumonia in his village in Uttar Pradesh. An evaluation at Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital under the Aligarh Muslim University revealed that he suffered from a congenital heart disease. The family was further directed to Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, where a cardiac catheterization and TOF corrective surgery was performed. His father, a labourer, earned only Rs.3, 000 per month on which he supported his wife and 5 children. Already struggling to make both ends meet for such a large family, he required financial assistance for the surgery. Genesis Foundation, which provided him the support and finances required for his son’s surgery.
10 years from Rajasthan, was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease and required an ASD Closure. Her father earned a monthly income of Rs.2, 500 as a labourer and could not support his son’s surgery at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket. Genesis Foundation assisted the family in providing financial assistance.
6 months from Bihar, suffered from a congenital heart disease in which the left coronary artery was joined with pulmonary artery instead of aorta. He required Alcapa surgery due at AIIMS, New Delhi. His father was a labourer and earned Rs. 4,000 per month. He was, however, thankful to Genesis Foundation for the help rendered to the child.
Niranjan, eight years old from Tamil Nadu, has been suffering from a heart disorder – Tetralogy of Fallot and requires a Conduit Replacement at Miot Hospital, in Chennai. His mother Kokila and father Natrajan have two sons. Niranjan is currently studying in school and has a passion for singing. His parents want nothing more for their little boy to get the treatment he deserves, to live. Natrajan is a farmer and earns Rs 5000 per month, with which it is impossible to support the surgery. They have reached out to us for financial support and this case will be supported through The Aara Project, an extension of Genesis Foundation.
4 years from Haryana, had a hole in lower chamber of the heart and underwent a VSD device closure. The surgery was performed at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket. His father was a labourer and had a monthly income of Rs.4, 000. Post-surgery, Prince had been doing well. His father was thankful to Genesis Foundation for helping them with financial support.
6 years from Uttar Pradesh, suffered from a congenital heart disease and required cardiac cath followed by BT shunt. The surgery was scheduled at Max Super Speciality Hospital. His father, who was a farmer, earned Rs. 4,000 per month and was struggling to meet the cost of the surgery. Genesis Foundation committed to the cause and assisted the surgery, financially.
Aashu, 5 years from Agra, has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and requires a tetralogy of fallot (TOF) correction at Max Hospital, Delhi. His father Shyam is a laborer and earns Rs 3000 per month. As one can imagine supporting his four children and wife on this humble salary as well as the medical costs to save his son’s life is impossible. He seeks support from us, and we are dedicated to helping him give life a chance for Aashu.
Abhishek, 5 years from Agra, is suffering from a cardiac disorder and requires a VSD device closure at Max Hospital, Delhi. His father Ravi and mother Kiran seek financial aid to meet the medical costs as they are unable to do so. Ravi works as a laborer and brings home Rs 3000.
